While we like to think that when we workout, we will immediately look good and feel better, its really not that simple. Many things happens in our body the first time we start working out. Seriously, I love exercise a lot more than you can imagine, so I have seen it to be true. But the longer you workout, the less things change. After some series of research I went through about, "why I experience a lot of changes in my body after workout", I came up with this article write up. Here's what you can expect, and how you can improve your workout routine.
At first, you will notice as a newbie, when you first work out, you're out of breath and your pulse is high. Its always a bit frustrating though but its perfectly normal. Your body starts by raising your heart rate and causing you to breath heavy. Exercise gets a lot easier as you go along, because your body starts adapting to your workout. Again, why you usually get this connection about your breath or your heart rate at first is because its tied to your muscles.
As we know, the way you get oxygen to the muscle fibers is by breathing oxygen into your lungs and then your heart pumps the oxygenated blood into your muscle. So when you jump on the treadmill and run four miles for the first time, of course your heart rate will be pretty much high, and you will feel much crappy. But if you do it every day like; one month, you will notice that your breathing won't be that hard at the same speed. This is because your muscle has change and its using oxygen a lot better which lowers your heart rate.
Furthermore, the truth about exercise is that it damages your muscles at the beginning while it can make you feel better over time. It sounds bad right? But its actually good because the muscle responds by repairing itself and that makes the muscle more stronger than it was before. Seriously, its not about "no pain, no gain stuffs", you need to be careful when your working out especially if your a 'newbie' because an injury will likely cause you to break your passsion.
When you're sore and weak, it because the muscle damaged, causing flammation and pains, but its really a good sign. That's the critical part of the muscle adapting and getting stronger, it shouldn't make you give up though. Also, when you get to a point where you can't do exercise again, you need to back off and lower the intensity a bit, take some time to recover and have a good treatments until your muscles gets back to normal.
You can expect to feel healthier and stronger after three weeks of exercise but with a good and proper diet, even if you don't see any other changes in your body depending upon your goals.
Though, if all you want is to maintain a healthy lifestyle, then you need only to workout all your muscles in a few way. I think 30minutes workout per day is good for most people.
Note, getting happy with hydration is very important. However, drinking water is a great way to replace the fluids you loose when working out especially if you're the type that sweat a lot. As such, chocolate milk can help your muscles recover fast after a run.
HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY WORKOUT ROUTINE? FIND OUT:
One of the ways you can improve in your workout routine as a new beginner is to make a plan and get committed. Without a healthy game plan, workout can quickly become a complete waste of time. Set out your workout ahead of time and map out a clear training goals. When you have a purpose in your workout, you will be more able to balance sweating with socializing.
Another way is to stick to it as a habit. Do it like three times a week then perform a circuit of at least five body weight exercise (will talk about it in my next article) two times in the same week. Keep it up for a month to make it stick as a habit. However, habit don't just happen, they are formed. But don't stress yourself, there's no set time for workout. Stick to the schedule everyday because consistency is the real game changer.
Again, try jump rope if you can't stand on the treadmill, it torches many calories as running on the treadmill.
Also, if you want to slim down and firm up easily, invite your friends, swap your dumbbells for dancing shoes and host a dance party. With dancing, you can increase your flexibility, build your strength, torch calories, and boost your mood without even realizing it.
